In conjunction with exhibiting designer, Vaughan Oliver's Walking Backwards, this pop-up show features student work from the Spring 2017 Graphic Design London travel course and workshop titled “Oracular Refuse”. The workshop was led by designer, author, and educator Timothy Samara and Vaughan Oliver on September 16, 2017.

As part of the Graphic Design London course, students explore London’s text-and-image based culture as it compares to our urban campus in Cambridge. The travel itinerary includes a visit with Mr. Oliver.

The workshop interrogated a found object—something discarded, overlooked, or otherwise deemed insignificant. Through verbal, diagrammatic, and formal investigations, students got their hands dirty to think laterally to unlock the object's secret narratives and build a variety of visual messages in the media of their choice.
