Candidates who hold a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies degree, or a closely related degree, may pursue a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study. This 36-credit certificate option is for experienced professionals who wish to expand their clinical work, continue their personal artistic work, engage in scholarly reflection, and enhance research skills.

The program blends specific training in the uses of different expressive therapy modalities, as well as a strong understanding of philosophical foundations and theory. Participants study the principles and practices of the various modalities of art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy and psychodrama. A strong emphasis is placed on research and critical inquiry.
