ARTISTS' RESOURCE COLLECTION

The Artists' Resource Collection is located in the Library at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University at 700 Beacon Street in Kenmore Square, Boston, Massachusetts. It contains a collection of books, periodicals, binders, and handouts focused on the careers of visual artists. The materials are available for research purposes and do not circulate. All students and alumni of The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University and Lesley University may use the Artists' Resource Collection.

The collection contains information on topics important to the career development and success of visual artists. The handouts focus on job search strategies such as resume writing and interviewing. The periodicals list jobs available locally and nationally. The books span many topics of interest includind career options in art, the business of art, education, company directories, grants and residencies, and job search strategies.

All resources are available on our online catalog LibraryThing.com.  Click here to access the system and search for books.

In addition to using the Artists' Resource Collection, students and alumni may schedule an appointment with a career counselor at the Career Resource Center on the Cambridge campus by calling (617) 349-8550.
