Below are profiles of the Center for Mathematics Achievement faculty and staff.

Dr. Anne M. Collins, Director

Dr. Anne M. Collins, DirectorAnne is the Director of Mathematics Programs at Lesley University. She is the former director of Partnerships Promoting Student Achievement in Mathematics at the Boston College Mathematics Institute. She served as an adjunct professor at Boston College Lynch School of Education. She is the series editor for NCTM's Assessment Sampler Series, a set of books for teachers in grades Pre-K-2, Grades 3 – 5, Grades 6 – 8, and Grades 9 – 12.


A long time mathematics teacher in Weymouth, she is the former Massachusetts Statewide Mathematics Coordinator (1997-1999). Anne is the president of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in New England. She is also the past-president of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Massachusetts. She is an active member of the Association of State Supervisors in Mathematics having served on the professional development committee. A long time member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the National Association of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) she is a regular presenter at both annual and regional NCTM conferences, and the annual NCSM, ATMIM, and ATMNE conferences.

She also served as a co-principal investigator for a five-year NSF grant, CriticalMass with the Hudson and Fitchburg school districts.
