Curriculum and Instruction Programs

These Curriculum and Instruction Master's Degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study programs are designed to address the needs of experienced educators who wish to enhance and expand their knowledge and skills. On-campus and off-campus programs contain core courses that address current issues in educational practice and policy; curriculum theory and development; practical and applied action research; equity in education; and the synthesis of coursework and research into an original collaborative project. Elective and specialization courses broaden the academic scope of the concentration.

Master of Education Leading to Professional Licensure Programs

• Master of Education leading to Professional Licensure in Elementary Education (1-6) or Mathematics (1-6): Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Mathematics
• Master of Education: Curriculum and Instruction: Specialization in Literacy Leading to Professional Licensure in Early Childhood: Teacher of Students with and without Disabilities (PreK-2) or Elementary Education (1-6): Massachusetts Only (33 credits)
• Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with Specialization in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts (33 credits)
• Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary Education-Generalist Elementary Education (1-6) (33 credits)
• Oregon Only: Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy: Language, Reading, and Writing (with option to pursue Oregon Continuing Teacher License (33 credits)
