Study art this summer in a college environment with professional artists. Our Pre-college program is especially designed to challenge your imagination and encourage your creative growth. Founded in 1912, The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Animation, Design, Photography, and Art History.
The Summer Young Artist Residency Program is available in July for a limited number of students who will be entering their junior or senior year of high school in Fall 2009. Accepted students choose a full schedule of courses from the summer Pre-college program and live in the Lesley University residencies on the Cambridge campus. The AIB studios are located on the Boston Campus, however, a free university shuttle is provided to and from Cambridge. A program of evening and weekend events is included in the residency program price along with meals and local transportation.
The residency program, complete with successful course work and activities, carries six college credits. Scholarships are not available for this program. For program information, please contact Diana Arcadipone at 617.585.6729 or 617.585.6724. Application forms are available here.
