In 1994, Congress passed the King Holiday and Service Act, designating the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King's vision of a "beloved community." Lesley will proudly participate in this national day by volunteering alongside members of the Cambridge community through the Many Helping Hands 365 Cambridge MLK Day of Service at City Hall.
We will meet in University Hall, 2-150 and kick off the day with opening remarks, artistic performances, and lunch followed by traveling to Cambridge City Hall to engage in service projects with local community members.
All students, faculty, staff and alumni are welcome. This service opportunity is family-friendly! RSVP by Jan. 8.
Hosted by The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, The Office of Community Service, The LA+D Office of Community Engagement and Alumni Relations.
