Plan a degree program that meets your needs.
Design a program that’s right for you. Through this flexible M.Ed. program, you can create an individualized course of study that aligns with your career goals and interests. You’ll work with an academic or faculty advisor to choose courses that allow you to pursue a specialization, an endorsement or add-on license, or interdisciplinary work in the topics that interest you most. Take this program on campus, with a variety of online courses, completely online, or as a teacher residency at Berwick Academy in Maine.
Nine of your eleven courses will be electives, while the final two will be required research courses designed to help you consolidate your coursework and develop an immersive action-research study.
You may choose to fulfill some of your elective courses by completing one of our graduate education certificates, which will show as a specialization on your transcript.
Then, with the skills needed for a rewarding career, you'll graduate from the university that educates more teachers than anyone else in New England. In fact, more than 4,500 people have earned a teaching degree here in just the last five years. Employers in Massachusetts prefer to hire Lesley graduates, saying they are best prepared to enter the classroom on day one.
