Books
Books cover virtually any topic, fact or fiction. For research purposes,
you will probably be looking for books that synthesize all the information
on one topic. However you may choose to not read the whole book but
only those chapters that are relevant to your topic.
In general, the books that Lesley University Libraries collect are more scholarly
in content than those at an average bookstore or public library.
Use a Book
- when looking for a comprehensive look at a topic
- to put your topic in context with other important issues
- to find historical information
- to find summaries of research to support an argument
