Popular Magazines

pile of magazines - Time, Life, Internet World Magazines publish articles on topics of popular interest and current events, usually on a weekly or monthly basis. The articles are generally written by journalists, not scholars, and are for the general public.

There are a wide range of magazines available to you (from Glamour to National Geographic). Some of these may be acceptable for use in your academic work at Lesley. Check with your instructor if you are not sure.

Use a Magazine

  • to find information or opinions about popular culture
  • to find up-to-date information about current events
  • to find general articles written for people who are not necessarily specialists in the topic area
