Borrowing For Students

As a student at Lesley, you have access to technology materials and peripherals for use in and out of the classrooms and labs. If you are a student on the Boston campus, please contact Fred Levy at flevy@lesley.edu for information. If you are an off-campus student, please contact your site coordinator to see what resources are available to you. Students on the Cambridge campus can visit the Academic Technology Lab, located on the 4th floor of the Library building, to check out what is available... or just keep on reading for more information.

Education Technology Preview Collection

Academic Technology (AT) maintains the Educational Technology Collection, which is mainly reserved for preview use in the AT lab on the fourth floor of the Library. You can get more details about materials available by visiting the Educational Technology Collection page were you'll be able to search the Educational Technology Collection online even before you visit the AT Lab.

To test out software in the AT Lab, ask the student at the AT Lab Help Desk for the software title that you are interested in looking at. The student at the help desk will keep your Lesley ID until you are finished previewing the software. You may preview only one software title at a time. However, you may borrow headphones for use while you preview the software if you don't have your own headphones.

Borrowing Technology Materials

Software

If you would rather take software home, there are also many circulating materials in the collection which may be checked out for one week. To check out circulating materials, ask the student at the AT Lab Help Desk for the title. You will be given a form to fill out with your contact information. You may borrow only one software title at a time.

In order for you to borrow any reserve material we must have written authorization from your teacher. Your teacher should send an email to ut@lesley.edu noting that you need to use the software as part of the curriculum.

Digital Cameras

UT has several 2.0 mega-pixel digital cameras available to authorized Lesley students for on-campus use.  Reservations are limited to two (2) days.  Students must be enrolled in a qualifying course and recommended by faculty before reservations can be made.  Your teacher can send a class list to ut@lesley.edu, including the course number and name as well as the list of students in the class. Reservations for these cameras must be made no later than two (2) days in advance to ensure availability.  If you want to reserve a camera, see the UT Equipment Reservation Form

If the camera is available, you can pick it up in the AT Lab, which is located on the fourth floor of the Library building. A valid Lesley ID is required to enter the AT Lab.
