Access

Entry to UT on the third and fourth floors of the Library and the Mollye Lichter Block Computer Lab (Doble 301) requires an up-to-date Lesley University ID card. If your card does not work, or you do not have an ID, please go to the Security Office. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Security at 617-349-8888.

Facilities

Classrooms

Throughout campus there are classrooms that are technology enabled with built in projection systems and Internet access for presentations. Instructions for use are located in the classroom. Labs

In addition to technology enabled classrooms we also have PC and Mac computer labs across campus. For more information about where these labs are located visit our locations and statistics page.

Kiosks

Do you just want to check your email or look at a website? Then find the nearest kiosk! These kiosk computers are located in convenient public places around the Cambridge campus so that you can check your email or surf the web on the run. Reserving a Computer Lab

All student room requests require an appropriate faculty or staff sponsor. If you need to book a Library computer room for a class presentation, for example, please ask your teacher to request a classroom for you. Printing

Black & white laser printing is free to all members of the Lesley University community. We ask that you limit printing to one copy per document. For those needing multiple copies, copy machines are located on the first floor of the library. Color laser printing is available from all fourth floor Macintosh and Windows stations at a cost of $1.00 per page. Double-sided color prints are $2.00 per page.  Wide format inkjet prints are also available via the Epson 4880 on the 4th floor at an additional charge.

Scanning

UT offers text and graphics scanning on both Windows and Macintosh. Handouts on how to use the scanners are available at the UT Help Desk located in the 4th floor of the Library.

Media Sales

None of the public computers are backed up. All lab computers are cleaned on a daily basis. Files saved on a lab computer are purged every 24 hours.

It is University Technology’s policy that lab computers are not intended as public storage. It is the student's responsibility to save his/her data to his/her own media such as CD-R's , zip disks, flash drives, etc.

CD-R's for $2.00 are available for sale at the UT Lab Desk located on the 4th floor of the Library. However, we do recommend that you buy a flash drive to store your work on.
