Technical AssistanceUT provides basic technical support to patrons using any of our available software titles. You are responsible for knowing how to operate the software needed for your work. If you run into technical difficulties while using a computer, please ask for assistance from our UT Lab staff. Although our student staff is trained to help with a variety of problems, please do not expect them to know all pieces of software or to be able to help with complex problems.[ back to top ] FacilitiesYou can look at the Registrar Office's facilities information chart to find out about what type of furniture or technology is in a classroom. For more information about locations and technology available across campus please download the Facilities PDF provided by the Registrar. Instructions for use are located in the classroom. If you need to book a Library computer room for a class presentation, for example, please ask your teacher to request a classroom for you. For more information about booking rooms, see the student classroom reservations policy by visiting the Registrar's classroom reservations page. All lab computers are cleaned on a daily basis. Files saved on a lab computer are purged every 24 hours. It is University Technology’s policy that lab computers are not intended as public storage. It is the student's responsibility to save his/her data to his/her own media such as CD-R's , zip disks, flash drives, etc. CD-R's for $2.00 are available for sale at the UT Lab Desk located on the 4th floor of the Library.
