Technical AssistanceUT provides basic technical support to patrons using any of our available software titles. You are responsible for knowing how to operate the software needed for your class. If you run into technical difficulties while using a computer, please ask for assistance from our UT Lab staff. Although our student staff is trained to help with a variety of problems, please do not expect them to know all pieces of software or to be able to help with complex problems. If our student staff is not able to help you, they will refer your problem to our professional staff. You can also call the UT Help Desk at 617-349-8770. [ back to top ]
Report a ProblemIf you encounter a problem with a lab or classroom, you can check the UT Help Center for solutions. The Help Center is a searchable repository of articles designed to assist the Lesley community with common questions, issues, and guidelines related to the usage of technology at the University. For issues not addressed by the Help Center, please contact us at 617-349-8770, or see the UT Labs & Classrooms Repair Form. [ back to top ]

Faculty Folders/Backup PolicyIt is University Technology's (UT) policy that lab and classroom computers are not intended as public storage. None of the lab or classroom computers are backed up. All public computers are cleaned and files purged on a daily basis. It is the student's, staff's, and faculty's responsibility to save his/her data to his/her own media such as CD-Rs, zip disks, flash drives, etc. You can request a network folder/directory to store class files. The server where these faculty folders reside is backed up on a daily basis; however, UT does this as a courtesy. This space is not intended as a permanent storage space, and UT is not responsible for the data kept on this server. Faculty need to backup their data on their own media. Please contact University Technology by email at ut@lesley.edu for more information or to request a faculty folder. [ back to top ]
Media SalesCD-Rs for $2.00 are available for sale at the UT Help Desk. However, we do recommend that you buy a flash drive to store your work on. [ back to top ]
Fund TransfersThere is a $5.00 minimum on all fund transfers. Sales of media and color printing may be charged to your department if you are on a list that is provided to us by your budget head. You must also provide the appropriate budget number. If your name is not on our list, contact your budget head and ask her/him to email us at ut@lesley.edu. [ back to top ]
