Lesley University encourages alternative methods of transportation, such as bicycling. If you are interested in getting around the Lesley campuses by bicycle, please read about the Lesley Bike Share Program. Also, help reduce biking accidents and thefts by following these common safety tips and suggestions.
If you have a bicycle on campus you must register it with Public Safety and receive a bike identification tag. It is easy and best of all FREE! It helps:
For more information, please read the Bicycle Policy. If planning on parking a bicycle on campus, please complete and return the bicycle registration form to the Department of Public Safety located at 34 Mellen Street, Cambridge (Doble Campus).
Bike parking capacity is currently 174 spaces. Please see the campus map to view the bike rack locations throughout campus.
Many of the bicycle racks across our campuses remain exposed to the elements. The following is a list of bicycle racks that offer some protection from weather, either by building overhangs and/or trees.
The Lesley Bike Share Program allows interested Lesley community members to get around the Lesley Cambridge campuses by bicycle. Members use bike lock keys to access the fleet of bicycles located throughout our campus. Please see attached map of LUGLY bicycle racks.
Lesley Bike Share is open to all students and employees with a valid Lesley University ID and in good standing with the University. It is highly encouraged for all members to wear a self-provided helmet at all times while operating a Lesley bicycle. Failure to follow guidelines will result in dismissal from the program. All members must follow and abide by the Bicycle Laws of Cambridge and Massachusetts, according to Appendix A of the Membership Agreement. This program is based on a first come first serve basis.
