Residential, Community, Campus Life

Lesley's campus resides within a three-block radius along quiet, tree-lined streets in Cambridge, near lively Harvard Square with its theaters, shops, and restaurants.

Threshold students live in three residence houses (Crockett House, Everett House, and Oxford House) in single, double, and triple rooms. Resident staff, attuned to the needs of Threshold students, live in the residence houses and are available to handle any urgent situation that may arise during non-classroom hours. The Resident staff communicates regularly with the  teaching/advising staff of Threshold as well as Lesley’s Residence Life Office. Threshold's three residence halls are staffed by a full-time resident director and three Lesley University graduate resident assistants. A member of the resident staff is on duty every night from 7 pm - 7 am and all day on weekends.

Threshold students enjoy using the campus dining hall, library, fitness center, and other campus facilities side-by-side with other undergraduates at Lesley. We encourage students to participate in University events and student clubs. Threshold students have participated in the University's UNITY Gospel Choir, theater arts productions, and poetry readings.

Threshold students are expected to abide by rules of good judgment and safety and other regulations similar to those followed by all undergraduate students housed on campus. The Threshold Student Handbook and the Lesley University Office of Student Development fully lists the rules and regulations.

We welcome commuter students, but most students choose to live on campus with other Threshold students, finding that campus living in such a diverse, urban environment provides them with the opportunity to continually practice much of what they learn in the classroom, while still able to "come home" to a welcoming dorm environment.

We strive to build community through such activities as Movie Night, The Annual Haunted House for neighborhood children, Community Service, Apple Picking, Celtics and Bruins Games, Glamor Night, and Arts & Crafts. Threshold students are invited to create and help generate interest in other on campus or off campus activities.
