Meetings

Dorm Meeting - All resident students meet with the dorm staff every Monday evening in Alumni Hall.  This is the opportunity for students to get upcoming event information, updates and notices from the program, and reminders about residence life issues.  Students can also bring up housing/community concerns or make announcements.  At the conclusion, students can alert staff of any maintenance issues and make any desired appointments to meet with someone from the duty team.

Community Meeting – All first and second years meet Wednesday afternoons in University Hall with Jim, Helen, Jodi, Joanne, and Michelle.  This is where they will get reminders of events and announcements about the program.

Individual Meetings – students may be called into individual meetings with Jodi, Jim, and/or Helen to discuss dorm issues.  These are on a per necessary basis.

First Year Seminar

On Monday afternoons throughout the first semester, all first year students meet with Jodi and the dorm staff to learn all the necessities of living on their own and in the dorms.  Some of the topics discussed are: Introduction to Staff at Threshold and Lesley University, Handling with Emergencies, Living Away from Home, Self-Care, Dealing with Others, Free Time and Time Management, Healthy Living, and Safe Living.
