Science in Education Program
Try Science Course Requirements

Try Science is an a 3-credit, graduate-level course, offered online. Each section of Try Science is limited to 25 students. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To participate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and be a practicing K-8 educator.
  • You must have personal access to the internet, through your work, a public service station such as a library, or your own account with an ISP. The connection speed should be at least 56kbps.

Study Groups

Small study groups of two to five persons are an important component of the Try Science format. Try Science participants will be placed in assigned groups in order to successfully complete the course. Try Science is the first course of the online classes that form the core of a M.Ed. in Elementary Science Education at Lesley University. Participation in the Try Science course does not constitute acceptance into the degree program. Those students who are interested in learning more about the M.
