Workshops: Getting Up to Speed with the Common Core
The Center for Mathematics Achievement is offering a monthly series of Saturday workshops focusing on how to implement the 2011 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics which incorporates the Common Core State Standards. We will concentrate on the eight mathematical practices and how they look in the classroom. Workshops are designed to both refresh and deepen mathematics knowledge, while adding to your knowledge about the newly identified domains. These workshops are appropriate for anyone wishing to enhance their content knowledge and to learn how the Common Core State Standards will impact their teaching and students' learning. Workshops can be taken for PDPs.
