science in education (ONLINE PROGRAM)
LEADING TO PROFESSIONAL TEACHER LICENSE IN
ELEMENTARY (1-6)
This program leading to professional licensure helps educators build an understanding of core science concepts while experiencing the nature of the scientific process. It includes hands-on science investigations at home, learning to use technology resources to support science learning, and reflections on participants' learning and implications for their teaching. The 33-credit program comprises three-credit introductory course and five six-credit modules that include three credits of education and three credits of science, co-taught by a science educator and a scientist.
Prerequisite: Initial license in Elementary Education (1-6)
