Lesley University MTEL Workshops

Workshops are usually offered 4 times per year--fall, winter, spring, summer. They cover some content, practice questions, test-taking strategies, and resources for individual study. Offered as a free support service (except Math General Curriculum) for current Lesley students and alumni. The general public may register and attend workshops for a fee. Walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis (except Math General Curriculum). Please call 617.349.8427 or 800.999.1959 ext. 8427 for more information.

Math General Curriculum Workshop ($100 for Lesley students; $300 for general public) 

A three day workshop that covers Numbers & Operations, Statistics & Probability, Geometry & Measurement, Functions & Algebra offered in August. For candidates in Elementary, Moderate and Severe Disabilities programs who need to take the General Curriculum MTEL. 

  • JULY Session: CANCELLED
  • AUGUST Session: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, August 10, 11, 12, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, University Hall, Room 3-098 

Lesley Students: Register by submitting University Registration form [pdf] and $100 fee to Registrar's office by mail, in-person, or FAX to 617.349.8717

For AUGUST session register for EWKSP 5600 03 and prerequisite Online Math Diagnostic EDIAG 5000 01 

General Public: Register by submitting University Registration Form [pdf] and $300 fee to Registrar's office by mail, in-person, or FAX to 617.349.8717

For AUGUST session register for EMTEL 6100 03, which includes workshop and prerequisite Online Math Diagnostic.

Shortly after registering, you will receive a Lesley user name and password that will enable you to access the diagnostic, which should be completed before the first day of he workshop. 

Online Math Diagnostic  

A two-hour, timed 47 question diagnostic tool that covers math knowledge required for the General Curriculum MTEL math subtest. Available online at myLesley after registration has been processed.

Lesley students may take the Online Math Diagnostic at no charge without taking the workshop. Register for Summer 09 EDIAG 5000 01 by submitting University Registration Form [pdf] by mail, in-person, or FAX to 617.349.8717.

General public may only take the Online Math Diagnostic when registered for the workshop EMTEL 6100.

Foundations of Reading

  • Saturday, October 17,  1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, University Hall - 2-150 Amphitheater, 1815 Mass Ave, Cambridge

General Curriculum

Early Childhood Education
