Welcome to Lesley Certification/Educator Licensure

About the Certification Office

The Certification Office assists past, current and prospective students and

  • answers questions about educator licensure and certification, recertification, and teaching in other states
  • keeps the Lesley community informed and updated on all matters related to licensure regulations and policies
  • provides information and support for the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL), including MTEL workshops and other resources
  • verifies completion of teacher education programs for graduates applying for out-of-state certification
  • endorses Lesley University graduates of state-approved educator licensure programs, including teachers, reading specialists, administrators, school guidance and school adjustment counselors* (Note: All educator licensure-program completers must apply to the Certification Office for an endorsed transcript, which is required by the state for licensure.)
  • Please note: If you submitted an endorsed transcript request between June 29, 2011 and July 12, 2011, your request was not received due to an email conversion. Please resubmit the form.
