Mandatory Health InsuranceFor ALL students!Massachusetts State Law requires ALL full or three-quarter time students at Lesley University to participate in the school sponsored Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan - or- provide proof of an alternate insurance plan with comparable coverage. (Please note: Student status as full or three quarter time will be determined according to Lesley Registrar records as of the last date of the add/drop period of each semester). All full or three-quarter time students must choose one of the following two options for each academic year: 1. Waive the Student Accident & Sickness Insurance Plan 2. Enroll in the School-Sponsored Accident & Sickness Insurance Plan. ONLINE WAIVER FORMS ARE AT WWW.GALLAGHERKOSTER.COM. For Fall 2008, the deadline to waive was August 15, 2008. If you missed the August 15 deadline, and would like to petition to waive the insurance, you must now contact Gallagher Koster Insurance and submit a petition to waive form at www.gallagherkoster.com online. Avoid Paying for Health Insurance You Do Not NeedFailure to waive the insurance, through gallagherkoster.com, by the semester deadline, (August 15, 2008 for the fall 2008 semester) will result in students, who are three-quarter or full time, being automatically enrolled in the insurance plan, resulting in the non-refundable insurance fee charged to their student accounts. Lesley University is not responsible for insurance waivers that are submitted after the deadlines. A student who withdraws after the add/drop period will NOT have their insurance charges removed as the bill from Gallagher Koster Insurance Agency will have already been created and sent to Lesley University. If a student withdraws after this date and wishes to try and remove the insurance they must contact Gallagher Koster directly at 800-401-6068 or LesleyStudent@Kosterins.com to start the petition process. If You Need Health InsuranceAll full or three-quarter time students must waive the insurance plan each academic year. If you miss the August 15, 2008 deadline, and you are a full or three-quarter time student, you will be automatically enrolled and charged for the insurance plan. Part-time StudentsStudents who are registered for less than a three-quarter time course load are not eligible for Lesley administered student health insurance. Part-time students can purchase a student health insurance plan directly through Gallagher Koster Insurance Company. Please call 1-800-401-6068 for more information.
