Colleague Basic Navigation TrainingFor staff who are new to Colleague. Includes an overview of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); best practices; navigating the system; looking up information on people and courses; reading basic inquiry screens. This is basic how-to-navigate training, using the Colleague student system for demonstration. This class does not cover tasks/processes specific to individual jobs, nor does it cover use of the Colleague financial or human resources systems. Navigation details, however, do pertain to all aspects of the Datatel User Interface and UI Web. Prerequisite: a completed Colleague Database Access Request Form, submitted by your supervisor. Basic Navigation Training RegistrationTo request basic navigation training:

If two or more people in your department require basic navigation training at the same time, please contact the basic training group directly before completing the online registration form. Course Section Maintenance TrainingThis training, for those who create semesterly course sections, is 1.5 hours, also handled by the basic training group. The Colleague basic navigation training is prerequisite to this session. The two will not be scheduled on the same day, as some general familiarity with navigation is needed prior to this more-advanced class. To request section maintenance training:
