lois: current course information

How to get the most from your search

• Go to www.lesley.edu/lois. No need to log in!
• Click "current course information"
• Choose term from drop-down list
• To narrow your search, choose any combination of discipline, start/end date, subjects, meeting dates and/or days, keywords, location, academic level, instructor (see examples below)
• Click "submit"

The results of your search will be the most up-to-date course information, straight from the database, for your chosen semester. The information listed for each course section will include semester, section status (open, waitlisted, closed, etc.), section name and title, location, meeting schedule, faculty, available seats/section capacity, credits, and academic level.

Click on the section name/title to view more details on the course section, including the complete schedule, course description, and faculty contact information, when available.

Examples:

To get a list of all the course sections for any semester, choose the term and location only. This is a very general search, and will take some time for the database to complete, so be patient. This returns all sections, regardless of academic level, discipline, subject, etc.

   Returns all AIB Art History courses that meet on Wednesdays in the spring 2008 semester

   meeting day: Wednesday
   
   Returns all AIB Art History courses that meet on Wednesdays in the spring 2008 semester (same as last example)
3. discipline: CREARTS – Creative Arts
   starting on/after date: 02/01/08
   ending by date: 04/31/08
   meeting day: Friday
   location: MC – Main Campus (includes both Boston and Cambridge)
   
   Returns all Creative Arts in Learning courses that meet during February, March, and April, on Friday (and any additional days), on the main campus, including weekend intensive courses that meet on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
4. starting on/after date: 02/01/08
   ending by date: 04/31/08
   location: MC – Main Campus (includes both Boston and Cambridge)
   instructor's last name: smith
   
   Returns all courses Professor Smith is teaching on the main campus during February, March, and April
5. term: 08/sp (spring 2008)
   subjects: EEDUC – SOE Education
   course levels: 600 – Middle Level Masters
   location: MC – Main Campus (includes both Boston and Cambridge)
   
   Returns all spring 2008 courses with a subject of EEDUC and course number 6xxx meeting on the main campus, for example: EEDUC-6111 section 01 and 02 (Multicultural Curriculum: Pedagogy and Practice)
6. term: 08/sp (spring 2008)
   discipline: EDUCATN – Education
   location: C7 – Belmont Day School (School of Education Collaborative program)
   
   Returns all spring 2008 sections of education courses (EEDUC-xxxx) in the School of Education Collaborative program with Belmont Day School
7. term: 08/sp (spring 2008)
   location: ZZ – Distance Learning (online courses)
   
   Returns all spring 2008 online courses.
8. term: 08/sp (spring 2008)
   course title keyword(s): pedagogy
   location: MC – Main Campus (includes both Boston and Cambridge)
   
   Returns all spring 2008 courses meeting on the main campus that have the word "pedagogy" in the course title. Please note that this is the least reliable search mechanism, because course titles often contain abbreviations.
