Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
AASHE is a membership-based association of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the U.S. and Canada. Our mission is to promote sustainability in all sectors of higher education - from governance and operations to curriculum and outreach - through education, communication, research and professional development. Businesses, NGO's, and government agencies can participate as AASHE partner members. AASHE aims to advance the efforts of the entire campus sustainability community by uniting diverse initiatives and connecting practitioners to resources and professional development opportunities. The association also provides a professional home for campus sustainability coordinators and directors. AASHE defines sustainability in an inclusive way, encompassing human and ecological health, social justice, secure livelihoods, and a better world for all generations.

Campaign for Environmental Literacy
The Campaign for Environmental Literacy advocates for increased federal funding dedicated to environmental literacy by providing a collective voice in Washington< for the environmental education community and its supporters in business, health, and other fields. In 2006, our first year, we helped restore $15.5 million in funding cuts for environmental education.

The Cloud Institute for Sustainability Education

Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA)

Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium (HEASC)
HEASC was formed in December 2005 by leaders of several Higher Education Associations to support and enhance the capacity of higher education to fulfill its critical role in producing an educated and engaged citizenry and the knowledge needed for a thriving and civil society. These organizations recognize that fulfilling their mission in the 21st century requires a broader, systemic, collaborative approach to their own work and that of the constituents they serve. The societal challenges to create vibrant, secure communities and strong economies while preserving the life support system on which we all depend are daunting and will only increase as the world’s population and our need to increase economic output grows.

North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE)
The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) is a network of professionals, students, and volunteers working in the field of environmental education throughout North America and in over 55 countries around the world. NAAEE uniquely combines and integrates both of these perspectives, and takes a cooperative, non confrontational, scientifically-balanced approach to promoting education about environmental issues.

Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance (SEEAL)
The Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance (SEEAL) formed under the auspices of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts in 1997 with the initial goal to provide educational experiences to young people of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
