Hours Calculator

Thanks to Lynne Clough, Linda Roscoe, and Stephanie Wilson for this helpful chart for determining approximately how many hours per week your work-study student can work, without going over his or her Federal Work-Study award.

Please note: This chart is based on the most common award amount-- $1800/year ($900/semester) for undergraduate and graduate students. If your student employee's award is different, please adjust accordingly. Also, please make sure to ask your work-study student if he or she has any other work-study jobs that may affect the number of available hours. This chart is based on a 15 week semester.
