Information for Incoming undergraduate students

Dear incoming student,

Welcome to Lesley!

Disability Services at Lesley University is guided by a model of student empowerment. We recognize that college is a time of transition for all students. We know that students with disabilities face the same challenges as every student entering college, plus the challenges related to limitations imposed by disabilities. Our goal is to help you navigate this transition in a caring and positive way.

In addition to the differences between college and high school that all students face, students with disabilities can also expect differences in how they receive services. Please make sure you check out the links listed on this site. These links explain how to request an accommodation, documentation guidelines, and the rights and responsibilities of the student and the faculty. You can also find a map of the campus and a list of frequently asked questions.

Here is a link to some videos of students with disabilities telling their stories. They share strategies to successfully stay in school, graduate and get jobs. We hope you enjoy these videos that have been prepared by the New England ADA Center.

We're happy to help with any questions you may have. Please contact us via telephone or email and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We're excited that you chose to attend Lesley University and look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Disability Services Staff
