current Service opportunitiesHours of Service completed during the 2006-2007 academic year: Hours of Service completed during the 2007-2008 academic year: Hours of Service completed during the 2008-2009 academic year: SLIS (Student Leaders in Service) SLIS offers students who perform 300 hours of community service in a calender year the option of a $1000 scholarship. Please contact Dan Flynn for more information. Tutoring Plus of Cambridge Tutoring Plus puts Lesley students in one-on-one tutoring and mentoring program with a Cambridge youth. Opportunities are offered Monday - Thursday, for one hour a night, one night a week. Volunteers are asked to commit for the semester, 4 months, as this greatly enhances the relationship between volunteer and student. For more details or to sign up contact the Office of Community Service. America Reads America Reads is an opportunity for Work Study eligible students to earn money while teaching literacy to Cambridge youth. The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4 (5:30 every other Tuesday for paid trainings). Volunteers must commit to the full semester.
