AREA 4 LESLEY UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Mission:

The Lesley University - Area 4 partnership is a neighborhood-university collaboration designed to draw on the diverse resources that each partner community brings for the mutual learning and benefit of members of both communities.

Vision:

1. Build and Nurture Civic Capacity

       By providing different means of access, involvement, and participation, the partnership encourages participants to become more deeply engaged citizens.

2. Facilitate Collaborative, Experiential Education

       The partnership supports members of our collective communities to fulfill their dreams and aspirations for themselves, their families and the community.

• Establish an environment where members of both communities are both teachers and learners, and develop opportunities for individuals of both communities to learn together.
• Equip community members with the tools and skills to define how and what they wish to learn and help them achieve their own learning goals.

3. Share Community and University Resources

        The Partnership facilitates the sharing of physical and intellectual resources between the communities.

•   Use university and community facilities to broaden each community's reach and exposure to new experiences and opportunities.
• Create opportunities for individuals to serve as ambassadors to each other's community to promote understanding and share expertise.               
  

This Agreement formalizes this Partnership and signifies the commitment of both the Area 4 community and Lesley University to the aforementioned goals.  This agreement will be in effect for two years from the date of signing.
