Declined Credit Card FeeA fee of $50.00 is charged to the student's account for any declined credit card transaction. The University may require that future payments be made by check or money order. Degree Completion FeeStudents who file a Declaration of Intent to Graduate will be charged a degree completion fee of $125.00. The Declaration of Intent to Graduate must be submitted by the deadlines specified on the Office of the University Registrar's web page for graduating students. The degree completion fee covers a portion of the significant administrative expenses involved in auditing your record to verify completion of program requirements; publication, design, and printing of the Commencement Program, which includes every graduate for the academic year; printing and proofing of diplomas; diploma cases; diploma postage and handling expenses; and other assorted administrative tasks. For more information see the commencement web page. Students will receive a billing notification for the degree completion fee with a specified due date. Field Experience/Affiliation FeeThe revenue generated by the field experience fee (called the affiliation fee for students participating in collaborative programs) is used to support the services of the field placement office, field training sites, supervising practitioners, and Lesley program supervisors. Lab FeeThe lab fee is required for some science and computer courses. The fee supports the use of the laboratory in conjunction with course work. Late Payment FeePast due student accounts will be assessed a monthly late payment fee of $100.00. Students who have been awarded financial aid will not be charged the late payment fee on the amount the financial aid will cover. Students enrolled in and paying on a payment plan will not be charged the late payment fee on the portion of the account covered by the payment plan. If you want to dispute a late payment fee on your statement send an email to studentaccounts@lesley.edu within sixty days of the bill on which the late payment fee appeared. Include the following information:
The Student Accounts Office will research your dispute and contact you within thirty days of receipt of your email with an explanation. Late Registration FeeStudents who register for courses that occurred in a past semester will be charged a $100.00 late registration fee per semester. The late registration fee is non-refundable. Materials FeeMaterial fees are determined by the various departments throughout the University. Material fee revenue is used to off-set the costs of course materials such as handouts. Online Technology FeeThe online technology fee supports the maintenance and growth of the University's technological infrastructure. The technology fee is used to fund improved access to and assistance with information technology and to fund other types of instructional equipment. This fee is also used to expand the University's online technology programs. Practicum Insurance FeeThe practicum insurance fee covers the cost of liability insurance for students in field experience and internship courses. Registration FeeThe registration fee is charged to all students taking campus-based courses, including online courses, each semester. The fee supports the administrative costs of processing registrations, managing room assignments, and course scheduling. The registration fee is non-refundable. Replacement Check FeeA replacement check fee of $20 will be assessed for the reissue of a student account refund check. If you would like to request that a check be reissued please email studentaccounts@lesley.edu. Returned Check FeeThe University will automatically re-deposit any returned checks received for payment of a student account. A $50 returned check fee will be charged to the student account if the check is returned after the re-deposit attempt. The University may require that future payments be made by certified check or money order. Should a check be returned due to a bank error, a letter from the bank will allow us to accept personal checks and the returned check fee may be removed.
