Head Coach Dan Flynn

Dan Flynn is the head coach of the men's and women's Lesley University cross country programs.

Prior to Lesley University, Coach Flynn served as the long and middle distance track & field coach for Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA. Coach Flynn helped guide the girls' track & field team to their fifth straight ISL Championship. He also trained many individual ISL champions in his two years of coaching at Thayer Academy.

Coach Flynn was graduated from Thayer Academy, where he was the school record holder in the 800 meters and a member of the NEPSAC Track Champion teams of 1996 and 1997. He also ran cross country for four years and was a member of the men's basketball team, which was NEPSAC B Basketball Champions in 1997. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in political science from Merrimack College, where he ran cross country for the Warriors for four years and was elected captain in his junior year. He went on to receive his Master's Degree from Boston College in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in college student development. He is currently the Coordinator of Community Service at Lesley University.

One of Coach's greatest accomplishments was establishing the first girl's track program at St. Joseph's Middle School in Camden, NJ. This was part of his year-long commitment to volunteering in a poverty-stricken community (under the auspices of the Augustinian Volunteers).

Coach Flynn is certified as a Level 1 Coach by USA Track and Field.

Coach Flynn can be contacted by email at dflynn@lesley.edu or by phone at (617) 349-8567.
