women's soccerHead Coach Paul Vasconcelos
Paul Vasconcelos came on board as the new women’s head soccer coach at Lesley University in 2007. In just his first year, the womens’ program at Lesley has made a remarkable turn around, improving to 14-4-1 in the 2007 season and getting into the record books as the NCAA all-time most improved Div III program in the country. As a result Vasconcelos was selected as the 2007 North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year. Assistant Coach Bobby Desilets![]() Bobby Desilets joins the Lesley University women's soccer program as the new assistant coach starting in the Fall of 2008. Coach Desilets brings solid coaching and playing experience to a team that will look to take the next step towards winning a conference championship. Coach Desilets spent the last year as the assistant coach at Matignon High School. He was also the Head Coach of the premier Eastern Massachusetts FC U15 boys team. A graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, Desilets earned his Bachelors degree in Economics and History. He attended the school from 2001-2005 and played all four years on the men's soccer team. Desilets thrived while playing for the Polar Bears, earning an All-New England Selection in 2004. He currently ranks third all-time for career assists at Bowdoin College. In his high school days at Bishop Hendricken High School he was honored with a 2001 All-State Selection. The Lynx are excited about the experience that Coach Desilets brings to the team. As Lesley moves to the New England Collegiate Conference starting in the Fall of 2008, Coach Desilets will be a major factor in winning the conference championship. updated 03/27/08 | 04:32 PM
