Assistant Coach Michael Monteiro

Michael Monteiro is currently entering his first season as an assistant coach at the collegiate level here at Lesley University.

A four year starter in the Midfield at Fitchburg State College and later Keene State College, Michael earned first team all-conference honors in both his sophomore (Fitchburg State) and junior (Keene State) year. To finish off his collegiate career Michael earned first team all-New England honors his senior year and was also invited to participate in the NCAA New England All star game.

Professionally, Michael played for Casa Pia, a second division club in Lisbon, Portugal and trained briefly with the New Hampshire Phantoms.

Prior to attending Fitchburg State, Michael attended Hudson High school where he was a four year starter and a three year captain. Michael was named team M.V.P his senior year.

A graduate of Keene State College, Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and currently works as a counselor at Community Residential Services in Norwood, MA.
