Parking Violations and Fines

Because parking at Lesley is limited, a violation and fine system has been developed to help maintain control of our parking lots. The following outlines the fines and penalties for unauthorized/illegally parked vehicles on Lesley property:

• No permit/not registered - $25.00
• Parking in HP space without appropriate plates - $75.00
• Blocking - $25.00
• No Parking area - $15.00
• Parked in a reserved space - $15.00
• Parked in a guest space - $15.00

Vehicles without a valid permit or parked in restricted areas or impeding traffic, including blocking, are subject to citation and immediate towing at the owners expense.

Lesley reserves the right to have an illegally parked vehicle towed from the property at the operator/owner's expense without warning. A third violation will result in an immediate tow.

All fines must be paid within 21 days from the date of issue in order to avoid a late fee. Late charges of $15 will be added to any overdue fine.

Payment of Parking Fines

All employee and student parking fines must be paid online at www.scapay.com. Fines must be paid within 21 days of issuance. The holder of a parking permit who fails to pay a parking fine is subject to towing/or non-renewal of his/her parking permit. Employees with unpaid parking violations will not be issued new semester permits. Students with unpaid parking viiolations will not receive their grades or permitted to graduate.

Parking Fine Appeal Process

Lesley University maintains a fair and objective appeals process. A parking citation may be appealed online at www.scapay.com, within 72 hours of its issuance if the recipient believes it was issued in error or not consistent with University policy or regulations. The Captain of Public Safety will review all appeals and render the final decision based upon the evidence.
