The value of the arts — in education, and in society, is a common thread throughout Lesley’s curriculum and history. We were the first to integrate the arts and therapy with our world-renowned Expressive Therapies Programs. We offer one of the few undergraduate art therapy majors in the country. And we are a leader in integrating the arts into teacher training programs.
We also have an entire school, The Art Institute of Boston, which became a part of the University in 1998, dedicated to training creative professionals and supporting all of our students’ efforts to think, see, and express themselves in new and effective ways.
For Lesley students, AIB provides many opportunities to enrich their learning with instruction from practicing artists, who are also experienced teachers. Learn more at the AIB website.
It's fascinating to see the effect that making art has on both children and teens, and how I can use it to help them express their feelings."
