The Basic Principles and Practices of the Reggio emilia Approach
Choose from one of the following Workshop Dates:November 15, 2008 or March 14, 2009 REGISTER NOW! [pdf] This one-day workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to become familiar with the principles and practices of the Reggio Emilia Approach to early childhood education. Participants will spend time in a Reggio-inspired classroom, listen to a presentation, and discuss the approach. This workshop will highlight how the principles and practices are implemented in a classroom setting, the teacher workspace, and the school environment. Space is limited. Schedule of Events
Workshop Details:TIME: 9:00 am–3:30 pm FacilitatorsKathryn Hulbert received her M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2005 and her B.A. in Psychology from William Smith College in 1999. For the past five years, Kathryn has been teaching and studying at Reggio inspired early childhood schools in Washington, D.C., Boulder, CO, and Boston, MA. Joanne Szamreta is an Associate Professor at Lesley University teaching courses in early childhood education and human development.
