Conferences and Events

Lesley University's main campus is located in a village-like urban-residential neighborhood just a few minute's walk from exciting Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard Square's brick sidewalks lead to a wide variety of bookstores, music stores, dining establishments, coffee houses, shops, museums and entertainment.

Historic Boston, just across the scenic Charles River, is easily accessible by public transportation. The country's eighth largest city, Boston boasts a wealth of historic and cultural landmarks. Experience the history of Paul Revere's House, The Freedom Trail, Old North Church, Beacon Hill, the Public Gardens and Fenway Park. Enjoy the world-class Boston Symphony, numerous museums, a first-rate theater district, Chinatown, or the Italian North End. Shopping is plentiful in Boston, whether you are looking for the variety of Faneuil Hall or the galleries and boutiques of Newbury Street.

Conferences and Events

Lesley University space may be rented by outside organizations.  All inquiries should be directed to Stephen Walsh in the Office of Administration, 617.349.8519 or swalsh2@lesley.edu, to determine availability and rental fees.

An events planning manual is available online to facilitate planning events on Lesley's campus.

To view or search for current and upcoming events, please go to the calendar of upcoming events, which is maintained by the Office of Public Affairs.

Facilities

Lesley University offers air-conditioned conference rooms, classrooms and PC/MAC computer labs seating 5 to 100 people.  Marran Theater accommodates 180 people, plus accessible space for wheelchairs, and our newly acquired Prospect Hall accommodates up to 300 people. For more information on renting Lesley's facilities, please go to facility rental information.

Housing

At particular times of year, University Housing may be available for outside rental. The residence halls are convenient to classrooms, library, local shops and restaurants. Most housing is set in the traditional style of college residence halls. These include single or double rooms with community bathrooms, living room, kitchenette for limited cooking, coin-operated laundry, vending machines and pay telephones. There are also Victorian style houses with community living rooms and kitchens.  For more information on local accommodations, please go to the area accommodations listing.

Catering and Dining Services

Two campus coffee shops and a dining commons offer a wide array of food selection. Catering services, through Lesley's on-site catering company, Bon Appetit, (617) 349-8380 or bonappetit@lesley.edu, can also be arranged for meals and meeting breaks. In addition, more than 20 dining establishments are located within a 5-minute walk from event spaces, classrooms and residence halls.

Parking/Transportation

Visitors are encouraged to use the ample public transportation system that serves the campus area. The bus, subway and commuter rail systems are all just steps away from our classrooms and residence halls. For those traveling a distance by car, short and long-term parking is available for a fee at the Alewife, Quincy and Braintree MBTA stations, just a short subway ride from campus. Due to Lesley's urban location, parking on weekdays is extremely limited and consists mainly of metered parking along Massachusetts Avenue. On weekends, all campus parking lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
