SABBATICAL LEAVE

The Lesley University Sabbatical Leave Policy is intended to provide opportunities for individual faculty renewal which may take many forms: training or branching out into new areas of teaching or research; courses to improve technical skills; projects of intellectual renewal which will aid professional development and renewal. All full-time and pro-rated faculty who have been employed at Lesley University a minimum of six (6) years active service are eligible to apply for a sabbatical leave.

Submit application to Academic Supervisor and School Dean September 14, 2007
Academic Supervisor recommendation to School Dean September 28, 2007
Formal recommendation from School Dean to Provost October 12, 2007
Application forwarded by faculty to Committee November 2, 2007
Committee recommendation to the Provost; Committee informs candidate of recommendation December 10, 2007
Provost makes recommendation to the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees; Action by the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees February 6, 2008
Action by the Board of Trustees March 5, 2008
Provost informs candidate of action by Board of Trustees March, 2008
Sabbatical Report to the Provost Middle of Semester following Sabbatical Leave
