Safety and Accidents

Accidents should be reported to the Security Office and the Human Resources Department immediately, regardless of severity. A written report describing the accident must be completed and filed within 24 hours to the Security Office and the Human Resources Department. Accident report forms can be obtained from either the Security Office or the Human Resources Department. The following emergency telephone numbers are provided in the event that a serious accident or injury required immediate attention:

1. Contact the Security Office at extension 8888 or the Switchboard (0). Lesley University Security will render assistance and obtain emergency transport to the nearest medical facility. The Switchboard Operator will have a list of qualified persons trained in First Aid and emergency telephone numbers.
2. Dial 911--Police Emergency Service to Mount Auburn Hospital or Cambridge City Hospital.
3. When teaching Off-Campus, dial 911 and then contact the site coordinator for local emergency services.
