Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - Literacy SpecializationThis program is offered in:The Lesley University Master of Education Degree program in Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) with a Specialization in Literacy: Language, Reading and Writing trains experienced teachers to use a variety of methods and strategies central to teaching students to read, write, speak, and listen. Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of language arts curriculum development and how to connect the language arts to other disciplines. The core coursework integrates strands such as technology, classroom equity, inclusion of students with special needs, curriculum development and assessment, classroom inquiry, and collaboration. The Literacy specialization courses provide educators with a foundation in current theoretical models related to literacy learning and its application across diverse populations of students, and focus on:
