Playing and Praying With Fabric: A One-Day Retreat -- Join students from Boston University and MIT to explore Christian sacred imagery and spiritual/religious symbolism. Participants will have the opportunity to use fabric with other people from their school to construct banners which will be used by the chaplaincies. Lunch will be provided. Preparing for Your Wedding: Gay or Straight -- Come and hear two chaplains (one gay and one straight, one married and one about to be) discuss issues to consider when preparing to make a life commitment to a partner, including where to find the help and resources to plan a ceremony and plan for a future together. "Celebrating the Gorgon: A Slide Presentation by Joan Marler" -- In honor of Women's History Month. Marler, an independent scholar, lecturer, and editor, will trace the image of the Gorgon from Neolithic Old Europe, through the Greek Classical period and into modern times. Accompanying images of works by contemporary visual and performance artists will express the integration of creative, destructive and regenerative powers by women of our time.. Massachusetts Educational Recruiting Consortium (MERC) Registration Meeting -- MERC is an opportunity for students and alumni to interview with school districts from around the country, April 23, 25, in the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Castle.
