JOIN ALUMNI IN SERVICE PROJECTThe Lesley community is invited to spend a day of service with alumni at the Women's Alliance House in Framingham, on March 15. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., volunteers will provide much needed reconditioning to the interior of the house, including painting, cleaning, and minor repair work.
The Women's Alliance is a membership organization of metrowest women on limited incomes who share information, support each other, and work together to solve common problems and gain control over their lives. The Women's Alliance House offers fairly independent living arrangements for women seeking the next step after getting pregnant or leaving an alcohol program, battering program, or other supervised program. It also provides advice and referrals in all areas of the women's lives, such as permanent housing, training, education, legal issues, and survival programs.
Anyone interested in participating can call the Alumni Office, 349-8622, to reserve a place. Volunteers will meet on campus and carpool to the Framingham location.
Lesley members can also help the Women's Alliance by donating much needed items such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and dishware. Donations can be dropped off at the Alumni Office, 1627 Massachusetts Avenue, from March 3-14.
