PRESIDENT MCKENNA TAKES SABBATICAL

President Margaret McKenna is taking a sabbatical from Lesley, which will continue to July. Executive Vice President Alan Fein is the acting president.

"After eleven years in this position," McKenna says, "I feel it is the right time for renewal, reflection, and to work on some long-planned projects."

McKenna's plans include visiting other colleges to learn about their entrepreneurial programs and collaborations, and also those campuses that have taken advantage of emerging technologies.

Further, McKenna hopes to visit Lesley's program in Israel and the exchange program for the Women's College in England. To help link all these visits together, she will spend a few weeks at the Center for Creative Leadership in North Carolina. "My one continuing responsibility at Lesley will be to play a role in the capital campaign," says McKenna, who will continue to meet with major gift prospects and provide strategic advice to this effort.
