LOCAL BUSINESSES OFFER DISCOUNTS

Several businesses at Porter Exchange are offering special deals for members of the Lesley community.

The Cottonwood Cafe (at the Porter Exchange location only) is once again offering Lesley students, staff and faculty a 20 percent discount on the food portion of the total guest check. The discount is valid Sunday through Thursday, at all meal times -- lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch -- for a maximum party of six. Lesley identification is required to be shown (college ID, course enrollment form, or library card).

Anyone taking advantage of this discount should understand that tax and gratuities are not included, and it is not valid on holidays or in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion. It also is not valid on catering, take-out or gift certificates.

Cottonwood diners can then work off their meal through special memberships that Lesley has arranged with Bally's Fitness Center at Porter Exchange. For the 1997 calendar year, the cost of an individual membership is $125. The cost to add a family member remains at $250 for each individual addition. Memberships expire on December 31, 1997, regardless of when one joins during the year. Guest passes are available in human resources for anyone who would like to visit the center prior to joining.

Students, faculty and staff are welcome to celebrate their birthdays with a free lunch at the Cambridge Common Restaurant, 1667 Massachusetts Avenue, or at Christopher's Restaurant, 1920 Massachusetts Avenue (does not include alcoholic beverages or gratuities). Just show a current Lesley ID and proof of the birthday.
