LESLEY RECEIVES $325,000 GRANT TO SUPPORT PERG
The American Educational Research Association Grants Program, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, has awarded Lesley College $325,000 to participate in the evaluation training program(ETP).
The grant, payable over four years, will support six doctoral students (in the form of direct fellowships and support for faculty advisors) who focus their studies on program evaluation in science and mathematics education. Professors Frank Davis and George E. Hein are co-principal investigators on this grant.
"The selection of Lesley by the leading professional educational research organization in the U.S.," says Hein, "is a strong affirmation of the quality of both our Ph. D. Program and the work of PERG (Program Evaluation and Research Group)."
The other institutions selected for the program are: the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Minnesota, and Utah State University.
