EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM RECEIVES CERTIFICATION

The Department of Public Health has approved Lesley's program in Early Intervention for certification. This approval means that Early Childhood and Special Education students who choose to specialize in Early Intervention will receive both a Department of Education certification and a Department of Public Health certification upon graduation.

The Early Intervention certification will allow graduates to be employed within the approved Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Programs, for at-risk and special needs children from birth to three years old, and their families. Since Early Intervention is a field which is growing nationwide, this new certification will provide many additional career opportunities for Lesley students.
