The Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 specifically mandates that Lesley College report statistics regarding specific crimes committed on campus in an annual security report to its community members. The specific crimes which must be reported are murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft. In addition, arrest statistics for liquor law violations, drug abuse violations and weapons possessions must be recorded. The report must include statistics for the previous three years.
