Lesley Ranked Number Thirty-Eight of "Best Master's Programs in the North" by U.S. News & World Report

Featured in the 2007 Edition of the Princeton Review College Guide:
"The Best Northeastern Colleges"

Cambridge, MA -- Lesley University was recently ranked 38 for "Best Master's Programs in the North" in the U.S. News & World Report's 2007 Edition of America's Best Colleges, advancing two spots from last year's position at number 40. Additionally, the institution was listed as one of "The Best Northeastern Colleges" in the 2007 Princeton Review College Guide.

Both listings serve as an important reference for those deciding on which college to attend. The U.S. News & World Report's list categorizes schools by mission and region. There are 7 categories used to denote academic quality, including: peer assessment, retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance, and alumni giving.

Lesley was named among outstanding colleges and universities in the Northeast in the Princeton Review's 2007 Edition of The Best Northeastern Colleges. The two-page profile on Lesley describes the school as "committed to the professional empowerment and engagement in social change of the community and the world."

"This is a gratifying outside endorsement for Lesley. While continuing to grow and evolve, we've stayed firmly grounded in a strong mission of public service, and preparing men and women for careers that truly make a difference in the lives of others," said Carol Streit, Associate Provost and Vice President of Enrollment Management.

The Princeton Review surveyed 58,000 students at the 222 colleges in this edition of the book (about 250 per campus). The 80-question survey asked students to rate their schools on several matters -- from the teaching ability of their professors to their opinion of the campus food -- and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life.
