Mercury Systems receives $3.2M order

ANDOVER — Mercury Systems, Inc. announced it received a $3.2 million follow-on order from a leading defense prime contractor for high-speed, rugged memory devices integrated into an airborne command, control, and intelligence (C2I) computing system. The order was booked in the company’s fiscal 2018 first quarter and is expected to be shipped over the next several quarters. Mercury’s broad portfolio of BuiltSecure high density secure memory products include double data rate third- and fourth-generation synchronous dynamic random-access memory (DDR3 SDRAM and DDR4 SDRAM) in military-hardened, low-profile ball grid array (BGA) packages. Manufactured exclusively in a Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA)-accredited facility, trust and supply chain security are assured throughout the complete product life cycle.

Bedford’s Malone joins Lesley board

CAMBRIDGE — Alumna Bopha Malone is the newest member of the Lesley University board of trustees.

Malone, who holds both undergraduate and graduate business degrees from Lesley, works in business development and sales at Enterprise Bank in Lowell.

At Lesley, Malone received her bachelor’s degree in 2003 and her master’s in 2004, both in business management. She spent time teaching children in Cambodia before working at Enterprise.

Malone is a past Sun Woman of the Year, a former president of the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association board of directors and is on the Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell’s Board of Directors. She is also an active volunteer in her community.

The 27-member board of trustees, which governs the university in matters related to academics, finances and campus policies. She lives with her husband and two children in Bedford.

Flatley Challenge accepting applications

NASHUA — The John Flatley Company is hosting its 6th Annual Flatley Challenge. Interested candidates may apply at http://www.gateway-hills.com/flatley-challenge. Deadline for applications is Oct. 31.

The winner(s) of the innovative competition will receive free rent for one year for up to 5,000 square feet of office and/or lab space at the Nashua Technology Park (NTP) and/or Nashua Office Park (NOP) at Gateway Hills, and up to $10,000 in fit-up, connectivity and related costs. Applications should include the executive summary section of the existing business plan or a thorough description of the nature of the venture including, but not limited to the history of the business, its proposed or existing product line, the characteristics of the potential market, the general marketing plan and efforts to date, the organization of your business including your management team, existing and projected financial resources available to the business, the long term business goals and its job growth potential for the next three to five years.
