Learn best practices for teaching and supporting early adolescents, including fundamentals of adolescent development, creating appropriate school environments, curriculum design, and classroom strategies.
Our vision of Middle School education
is one in which adults encourage and interact with students, providing them with the tools to become effective learners. Good classroom
management techniques, interdisciplinary and team teaching, creating a
community of learners, and fair assessment practices are essential. Lesley's Master of Education (M.Ed.) programs weave effective middle school
practices across a range of subject areas. In addition, through our comprehensive assessment system,
we offer continuous assistance in your progress toward state and
professional competencies, and feedback that allows you to refine your
efforts throughout your program.
